Character: David Wicks

Interests: Michael keeps trim by playing tennis, squash, horse riding and skiing. He can also hold his own on a dance floor- He’s skilled at tap, ballroom and modern dancing.

Previous Acting Career: He made use of his song and dance talents by appearing in the musicals West Side Story, Les Miserables and Godspell before making his first TV appearance in EastEnders.

Ambition:Michael loves playing baddie David Wicks and has no plans to leave EastEnders at the moment.

Soap Character: Snapppy dressing, smooth-talking, David Wicks first cut a dash across Albert Square when he returned for Pete Beale’s funeral at Christmas 1993. Since then he has stirred up a hornets nest of memories for more than one East Ender. David may have a mean streak (especially if there’s money to be made), but to his mum Pat he’s a tower of strength – even if she hasn’t forgiven him for his youthful liason with Carol Jackson. David did a runner all those years ago and left 16-year-old Carol pregnant and alone. He’s now desperatly trying to make up for lost time, even though red-headed vixen Bianca isn’t everyone’s ideal daughter! Bianca doesn’t know that David is her dad and Carol is desperate to keep them apart, but that still doesn’t stop David paying for her keep at the Roach Motel. Despite his good looks he hasn’t had much luck with the ladies of Walford but that could be because he’s not been trying too hard. But who knows, love could be just around the corner….
