Theatre Programme – Les Miserables

Born in the East End and brought up in a village on the edge of Epping Forest. Immediately prior to Les Miserables Michael understudied Tony Slattery in Radio Times (Queen’s Theatre). This marked his return to theatre folowing a four-year career break spent travelling the world. On his return he completed a one year acting diploma at Mountview Theatre School.

Theatre: Between 1983 and 1987 theatre credits include Diesel and cover to Tony in West Side Story (Her Majesty’s) and later taking over the role of Tony when the production transferred to the Opera House Manchester. Dennis in a new musical One Of Our Own (Gaiety Theatre Dublin) with a distinguished Irish cast.
Tony in The Boyfriend (Palace, Westcliff), Chicago (Library Theatre, Manchester), Godspell (Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Chelmsford), and several pantomines including Cinderella (Theatre Royal, Nottingham).
A keen tennis player and 1991 British Actors Equity Doubles finalist.
