character: David Wicks, the slick-haired romeo of Albert Square, has used more women than he has used cars! After arriving on his mum Pat’s doorstep three years ago, it was soon revealed that the smooth operator is no loser in the lust department!
Childhood sweetheart Carol Jackson, the mother of his grown-up daughter Bianca, lives round the corner, while ex-wife Lorraine has also set up home in Walford for the sake of there son Joe. He also had a fling with sexy Sam Mitchell. But David’s womanizing ways have finally caught up with him. After having an affair with his sister-in-law Cindy Beale for over a year, the couple’s sinful secret is finally out- and Ian’s not happy!

Previous Career: Michael’s career got off to a high-flying start when he worked as an air steward. Back on the solid ground, he worked as a estate agent and a bluecoat in Majorca before joining a drama club and landing roles in such stage productions as Les Miserables and West Side Story.

David Wicks is his first major TV role. Unfortunately, it looks as id dodgy dealer David will be waving goodbye to Albert Square this autumn, because Michael is leaving Eastenders to star in a new BBC sci-fi series The Crime Traveller, in which he will play a time-travelling detective.

Off screen: He can sing and dance! Michael is an expert at tap, modern and ballroom dancing. He’s also a sports fan and enjoys tennis, squash, skiing and swimming.

Fascinataing Fact: Michael is a real-life Eastender! He was born in Bow, where his family ran a greengrocer’s business.
