Former EastEnders and Holby City star Michael French pops up in this new detective drama with Bob Martin’s Denis Lawson.

The film centres on the family and working life of Det Insp Morris Rose (Lawson) who knows south suburban Glasgow like the back of his hand.

It’s where his brother, Lionel, runs the family deli, a local landmark for 50 years.

His comfortable suburban life is disturbed by the arrival of young Det Sgt Alexander Murchison (French), seemingly on secondment from the Met.

Rose reacts coolly to working with this attractive high-flyer – there is something about him that just does not add up…
